Pack for the holiday you have planned: comfortable beach days, a few nights out and the journeys at either end. Sort documents, medication and booking details first, then choose clothes that work across the week.
This checklist is for a summer trip to Zante. Adjust quantities to your trip length, baggage allowance and accommodation, and check the forecast before you leave.
The essentials to sort first
- Passport and travel documents: check validity and current entry requirements for your nationality before packing day.
- Boarding passes and confirmations: save accommodation, transport and event bookings somewhere available offline.
- Travel insurance details: keep the policy and assistance contact accessible.
- Medicines: take what you need in the required packaging and check any rules for travelling with them.
- Payment cards and spending plan: check overseas charges and keep unpaid booking balances separate.
- Address and contacts: share your accommodation location and arrival arrangements with your group.
For British travellers, check GOV.UK entry requirements and health and medication guidance. A health insurance card is not a replacement for travel insurance.

Clothes and beach-day basics
Choose clothes you are happy wearing more than once in different combinations. Light daytime outfits, swimwear and a layer for cooler evenings are a useful starting point. Add comfortable footwear for the walking you expect to do.
- Swimwear and something to wear over it.
- Light tops, shorts, skirts or dresses that suit your plans.
- Comfortable walking shoes and beach footwear.
- Underwear, sleepwear and a light extra layer.
- Sun protection, sunglasses and a hat.
- A beach bag and towel if your accommodation does not provide one for that use.
Check which towels, hairdryers and other basics your accommodation provides before using luggage space for duplicates. Leave room for wet swimwear or separate it from the rest of your bag on the way home.

Pack around your actual events
Check the current organiser guidance for each event you book, including dress rules, footwear and items you can bring. If you want to attend the White Party, check the official dress guidance before choosing your outfit.
For a boat party, ask what is appropriate for your sailing and what facilities or storage are available. Only take valuables you need, and check how you will protect your phone and booking details around water.
For nights out, take a secure small bag if useful, a charged phone, access to your ticket and the identification required by current rules. Do not assume age or ID checks will be skipped.
Toiletries, tech and the flight
Pack the toiletries you actually use, along with any personal health supplies. Check sunscreen quantities against your trip and luggage arrangements, rather than assuming one small travel bottle will cover the whole week.
Take your phone charger, a suitable travel adapter and any charging cables you need. If you bring a power bank or spare battery, check the airline's current carriage and capacity rules before placing it in a bag.
Liquid rules can differ by airport, including on the return journey. Check each airport's current instructions and your airline's bag size, weight and item allowances; do not rely on rules from a previous trip.
Keep the journey essentials within reach
Follow the applicable baggage rules, but organise permitted essentials so you can reach documents, medicines, booking details and a charger when needed. If hold luggage is delayed, a permitted change of clothes can make the first day easier.
Zante packing: quick questions
Can I do a week with hand luggage only?
Possibly, if your allowance and plans suit it. Check the airline's exact dimensions and weight, plan repeatable outfits and consider liquids and toiletries before deciding.
Do I need an outfit for every night?
Pack for the events and dinners you expect to attend. Check dress guidance, then choose a few combinations you will actually wear rather than filling the case with just-in-case options.
What should I leave at home?
Unnecessary valuables, duplicates your accommodation provides and clothing that does not fit your plans. Check prohibited items with your airline and airport rather than guessing.
What should I check the night before?
Flight details, documents, transport, accommodation access, baggage weight and the charge on your phone. Save your return arrangements as well as your arrival information.
